reflecting on the theme of dark and light, and witnessing the many despicable acts that have been surfacing around the globe, I saw Manichaean thinking becoming more and more prevalent. the fact that those terrible acts were done by not a monster but a human is hard to process, that they can look at a beautiful sunset and want to take picture, that they find joy in their pet and send memes to friends.

in this film i take video and audio clips released with the epstein files to create a mix to bring to light the grey zones and disturbing in betweens. the fact that these traces left behind are not so easily identified and assigned to a predator, makes me, and hopefully also you, think about what it means to be human.
